    A

    AI Overview: Google's AI-generated summary that appears at the top of some search results, synthesizing information from multiple sources. Answer Block: A structured content section designed to directly answer a specific question in a format easily extractable by AI systems. Answerability: The degree to which content directly and clearly answers questions that users or AI systems might ask.

    E

    Entity: A distinct, well-defined concept (person, place, organization, product, or idea) that AI systems recognize and understand. Entity Authority: The credibility and recognition a specific entity has within AI knowledge systems, built through consistent information across authoritative sources.

    G

    GEO (Generative Engine Optimization): The practice of optimizing content to appear in AI-generated responses from systems like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity. GEO Score: A 0-100 metric indicating how well a page is optimized for AI search visibility.

    P

    Prompt Coverage: The percentage of relevant AI search prompts for which your brand or content appears in responses. Prompt Test: An evaluation of how AI systems respond to a specific query, checking for brand mentions and competitor presence.

    S

    SEO (Search Engine Optimization): The practice of optimizing websites to rank higher in traditional search engine results. SERP (Search Engine Results Page): The page displayed by search engines in response to a user's query.

    T

    Topic Cluster: A content strategy organizing pages around a central pillar topic with supporting cluster content, linked together.

    Other Terms

    Crawl: The automated process of visiting and analyzing web pages. Canonical URL: The preferred version of a page when multiple URLs might have similar content. Structured Data: Standardized format for providing information about a page (often JSON-LD or Schema.org markup).
