    Ahrefs Integration

Connect your Ahrefs account to SEOGEO Tools for comprehensive backlink analysis, Domain Rating (DR), URL Rating (UR), and competitor insights.

    Important: Enterprise Plan Required

Ahrefs API access is only available to Enterprise plan subscribers. If you're on a lower tier plan (Lite, Standard, Advanced), you will not be able to use this integration.

To check if you have API access:

    1. Log in to ahrefs.com
    2. Go to Account Settings > API
    3. If you see an API token option, you have access
    4. What You Get

      With Ahrefs integration, you can:

      • Domain Rating (DR): See your domain's authority score (0-100)
      • URL Rating (UR): View authority scores for individual URLs
      • Backlinks: Import your complete backlink profile
      • Referring Domains: See which domains link to you
      • Anchor Text: Analyze your anchor text distribution
      • Competitors: Discover organic search competitors

      Getting Your Ahrefs API Token

      1. Sign in to Ahrefs: Go to ahrefs.com and log in
      2. Access API Settings: Navigate to Account > API
      3. Generate Token: Create a new API token if you don't have one
      4. Copy the token: You'll need this for SEOGEO Tools
      5. Note: Keep your API token secure. It provides full access to your Ahrefs data.

          Rate Limits

Ahrefs API has usage-based limits depending on your Enterprise agreement. Check your limits in your Ahrefs dashboard under Account > API.

          Troubleshooting

          Enterprise Plan Required Error

Problem: Connection test fails with "Enterprise plan required" Solution:
          • Verify you have an Ahrefs Enterprise subscription
          • Contact Ahrefs support to enable API access on your account
          • Consider using Moz or Semrush as an alternative provider

          Invalid Token Error

Problem: Connection test fails with "Invalid API token" Solution:
          • Verify you copied the complete token
          • Check if your token has expired
          • Generate a new token in Ahrefs settings

          Rate Limit Exceeded

Problem: Sync fails with rate limit error Solution:
          • Wait before trying again
          • Reduce sync frequency
          • Contact Ahrefs about increasing your limits

          Best Practices

          1. Sync monthly: For most sites, monthly syncs provide enough data freshness
          2. Monitor usage: Keep track of your API usage in the Ahrefs dashboard
          3. Use multiple providers: Combine Ahrefs with Moz or Semrush for comprehensive data
          4. Test on small sites first: Verify your setup before syncing large domains
          5. FAQ

Q: Why can't I connect my Ahrefs account?

A: Ahrefs API is only available to Enterprise subscribers. Standard, Advanced, and Lite plans do not include API access.

Q: How does Ahrefs compare to other providers?

A: Ahrefs typically has the largest backlink index and most accurate DR/UR metrics. However, it requires an Enterprise subscription.

Q: Can I use Ahrefs alongside other providers?

A: Yes! SEOGEO Tools supports using Moz, Semrush, and Ahrefs simultaneously for comprehensive analysis.
